Allyson started her professional career with Meridia and Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette doing recruitment in a number of industries including Engineering, ICT and Financial Services. Coming from an Entrepreneurial family, Allyson has always been inspired by entrepreneurs and has recently joined The Rounds, a local organization focused on revolutionizing the way Canadian Physicians deliver and communicate health care.

An active supporter of her community, Allyson enjoys working closely with FUSION, ISANS, Job Junction, the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, the SPCA and the Connector program with the Halifax Partnership. Particularly passionate about women in business and young professionals, Allyson is proud to be an Instructor with the Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette and the Sobey MBA Professional Development program at Saint Mary’s University. Allyson is also the co-founder of 100 Entrepreneurs: Planting Seeds, a non-profit aimed at educating youth about entrepreneurship and providing a funding platform for youth start-ups.

Originally from Prince Edward Island, Allyson graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Commerce. An avid blogger, Allyson loves to write about local market trends and interview leaders on their thoughts around emerging youth talent as it relates to the future of Atlantic Canada.
