Evan Price is a serial entrepreneur and relentless community volunteer. With a B.Comm focusing in Finance and Political Science from Dalhousie; Over the past 10 years he founded the province’s largest beer hop yard, is the largest distributor of fiddleheads (FiddleHop Farms), spent 3.5 years volunteering as a level 1 fire fighter, stood as a municipal councillor candidate, elected president of the Truro Liberal EDA, and served as provincial election campaign manager. Now he is President of Truro Herbal Co. one of only 250 successful applicants to Health Canada's Medical Marijuana Licensed Producer program.
In his final year at Dalhousie, while managing the farm and being a full-time student, he was appointed as the VP – Finance and Operations of the student union. He supervised 10 full-time department heads, 100 part-time staff, executing an annual budget of $2.4 million, a 17,000 member $3.5 million health plan, $2.7 million investment portfolio, and a 10 year $10 million food service RFP. That year the DSU had the largest revenue growth in its 150 year history (without raising student fees) and came in at a $101,000 surplus."
