Raissa Marks

Raissa Marks grew up in rural Albert County, New Brunswick, and graduated from Petitcodiac Regional High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environment from McGill University in Montreal, and a Master of Environmental Studies from York University in Toronto, where she specialized in education for sustainability, citizen engagement, and community building.

Having returned to New Brunswick in 2006, Raissa is now Executive Director of the New Brunswick Environmental Network, a communications network that links together close to 100 non-profit environmental groups in the province. Skilled in facilitation and consensus-building, Raissa helps people from all different sectors work together to achieve common goals.

Raissa is passionate about New Brunswick, her fellow New Brunswickers, and their common potential for community-based economic development that is environmentally sustainable.

Raissa now lives in Riverview with her husband and their two young daughters.
