Kassim Doumbia is a supervisor in the Housing Programs and Services section of the Department of Social Development. In his position, he oversees a team of 10 individuals seeking to improve living conditions for low and middle-income families and individuals through access to affordable housing, programs to ensure the existence of safe and secure environments and a quality service focus.
He has experience in economic and community development, project management and strategic and organizational planning. He is eager to contribute to growth, development and openness to diversity at the collective and community levels to enhance people’s quality of life and achieve sustainable economic development. An active member of his community on several levels, he is currently a municipal councillor for the town of Shippagan, member of the board of directors of the Caisse populaire de Shippagan, chair of the board of the Comité d’accueil, d’intégration et d’établissement des nouveaux arrivants de la Péninsule acadienne, co-chair of the Tourisme Shippagan committee and co-chair of the economy group of the États généraux de la jeunesse.
Kassim has a master’s degree in business administration (2006) and a bachelor’s degree in applied computer science (2003).
