Project Coordinator, Access-Ability, Enactus Saint Mary's University
Jared is from Moncton, New Brunswick and is a recent commerce graduate of the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University (SMU) in Halifax. While attending Saint Mary’s he was heavily involved in student government and volunteered with 9 different organizations. While at SMU, Jared was the recipient of the SMUSA "Mac Attack" award (awarded for making significant contribution to student body through volunteerism and philanthropic endeavors).
Jared is passionate about politics and entrepreneurship. He has had the opportunity to work closely with government as the Chair of Students Nova Scotia, and as a Director with the Canadian Alliance of Students’ Associations. He has also developed his entrepreneurial skills as an active member of the Enactus Saint Mary’s team, who placed third in Canada for their social entrepreneurial projects.
Jared lived in Europe for a year while taking part in a Rotary International Youth Exchange Program. In 2013, he was selected to take part in an international trade mission to Southeast Asia with Global Vision Canada; where he represented the manufacturing and educational sectors of Canada’s economy.
