21inc. says thank you to Nadine Duguay, departing Executive Director

The 21inc board of directors announces the resignation of Nadine Duguay as Executive Director, with immense thanks for her dedication, leadership and passion.

The board has appointed 21inc Community Manager Vanessa Paesani as its interim Program Director while the board conducts an open search for its new leadership and prepares for the Under 40 Summit and Ideas Festival, to be held Nov. 1-6 in Charlottetown, PEI.

“Nadine’s passion for building a network of new leaders to drive deep change gave 21inc the leadership we needed to help our organization grow and develop,” said board chair Lisa Hrabluk. “We wish Nadine all the best in her new role. While she is stepping down as our organization’s leader, we look forward to continuing our relationship with her through 21inc’s 250-member strong network. Bonne chance Nadine.”

Nadine’s history with 21inc began with her participation in the 2010 Emerging Leaders’ Summit and she assumed the leadership of the organization in 2012. As Executive Director, Nadine led 21inc’s expansion of the 21 Leaders program into Nova Scotia (2012/13), PEI (2014/15) and has laid the groundwork for Newfoundland and Labrador’ inaugural 21Leaders in 2016, in addition to starting export opportunities with St-Pierre & Miquelon.

Nadine has accepted a role as Marketing Manager for Atlantic Canada with National Bank.

"I have witnessed 21inc achieve many notable milestones over the last few years, from offering our programs on a yearly and consistent basis across the Atlantic provinces to expanding the network to over 250 alumni,” said Nadine. “My vision was to elevate our profile on an international level and I couldn't be more pleased that this journey will begin during the upcoming edition of our Under 40 Summit with a visiting delegation from St-Pierre & Miquelon. I feel that I am leaving the organization in a solid position and with great board members at the helm who will ensure that the work from previous years will continue."

The board will post its leadership search later this fall.
