Sunday, November 16th:

 

5pm Meet at Delta Barrington, MacKay/Mayflower boardroom, Halifax

5:00 to 7pmWorld Café with Ryan Veltmeyer, Debrief with Ryan and Zoë

7pmDinner at Auction Housewith Catherine Loughlin and Karn Nichols from Saint Mary’s University

 

Monday, November 17th:

9 :00am to 11 :00Breakfastat Saint Mary’s University with Catherine Loughlin, her presentation on leadership

11am Departure for Lunenburg

12am to 2pm Lunch and Meet with Mark Olivella, COO and David Aulenback, CFO from Composites Atlantic- Dress code: closed shoes are necessary

2:30pm to 4pmVisit the Hub Southshore Centre

 

4pmTravel to Yarmouth, approximitaly3 hours

 

7pmDinner at Rudder’s, Yarmouth

 

8:30pmTravel to Meteghan River, Havre du Capitaine, approximately 50min.  

 

Tuesday, November 18th:

 

7:15 Leave for Church Point, approximately 15min.

7:30 to 9am Breakfastwith Allister Surette, President of l’Université Sainte-Anne – talk about renewable energy on the campus, project management and leadership

9 :00 Leave for Wolfville, approximately 2 hours and 10min.

 

11:30 to 12:30 Lunch Just Us Coffee and meet with Debra Moore, Grand Pré location  

 

1pm to 4pm 100-year planning session with Ray Ivany at the K.C Irving Environmental Sciences Center, Acadia University

 

4pm Travel to Millbrook, approximately 2hours

6pm Check-in to the Hotel, Super 8

6:30 to 9:30pm Dinner and Art&Culture session with Gerald Gloade from the Millbrook Community, Super 8

 

Wednesday, November 19th: Millbrook, Truro, Port Hawkesbury

 

8am Breakfast at the hotel, buffet style

9 :00 to 11:30Maritime Auto Parts with Andrew MacDonald

12 :00 to 1:30pmLunch and a tour with Laurie Jennings at the Masstown Market

1:30Travel to Antigonish, approximately 1hour20min. 

3:30pm Tour of the Coady International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University  

6pm Dinner at the Frank McKenna Center for leadership with local leaders, St. Francis Xavier University 

8pm Travel to Maritime Inn, Port Hawkesbury, approximately 50min.  

 

Thursday, November 20th – Cape Breton

 

7:30amBreakfast at the hotel, Miller’s Café &Grill

 

8am Travel to Sydney

 

10:30amto 12:00pmMeet David Alderson, Cape Breton University  

12:30 to 1:45pm Lunch at Flavor on the Water with Scott Morrison, Owner and Chef

2pm to 4pmMeet with Dan Christmas, Membertou Community at Membertou Heritage Park

4pm Leave for Port Hawkesbury, approximately 1h55min.

6:30pm Get back to the hotel Maritime Inn, Port Hawkesbury

7pm Dinner at Miller’s Café & Grill, Maritime Inn

 

Friday November 21st – Halifax

 

7:30 am Breakfast at the hotel, Miller’s Café

8am Departure for Halifax, approximately 3hours 50min.

12 :00Packed lunches on the bus

12:30 pm to 2:30pmTour of the Port of Halifax, meet with Port Authorities, 1215 Marginal Rd «Halifax Seaport Farmer’s Market»

3 :00 to 5:30pm«Making the invisible visible», all art by Nova Scotians under 30 addressing subjects like Residential School survivors, Black youth incarceration, fallings of the education system, sexual abuse etc. at the 4th Wall Exhibit at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, collaboration with AGNS and the Michaelle Jean Foundation with Ryan Veltmeyer, Co-founder and Executive Director – Youth Art Connection, meet with ArtPreneurs and youth artists.

6:15Check-in to the Delta Barrington Hotel

7pmDinner at the Gahan House with alumnis

 

 

 

Saturday November 22nd

 

8:00am to 9:30 Breakfast at the Delta Barrington with Keith Maryanovich  

10:00am to 12:00amAfricville and the Black Cultural Center  

12:00 Return to the hotel to pick up lunch and debrief

12:30Heading back home
