Moncton (NB) – Thursday September 11th 2014 – Twenty-one young leaders from New Brunswick, selected by 21inc, are starting the 21Leaders Leadership Development program today. Their meeting will take place until September 14th in Edmundston, north-west of the province.
The program, which spans over the next 10 months, aims to reunite young leaders and favors exchanges between these individuals, bred of various realities and opportunities specific to our New Brunswick communities. Together, they will confer on strategies and find solutions with the common goal of ensuring a better future for New Brunswick.
“In order to successfully promote the evolution and the development of New Brunswick’s society, these young leaders must be able to collaborate together, build bridges amongst themselves and better understand each other’s realities. While they all have different interests, different strengths and different knowledge backgrounds, they all have New Brunswick’s future at heart, and want to contribute to its success”, underlines Alain Parent, outgoing 21inc President and Director of Sales, Group Insurance, at Assumption Life.
In light of the theme Coming Together, the participants will meet with the mayor of Edmundston, Cyrille Simard, and 21inc.’s co-founder and alumnae, Lori-Ann Cyr, who also owns Diversis.
The young leaders will also call upon their own creativity during the Creative Development workshop given by Vicky Lentz, and will participate in a visionary discussion led by Gerry Pond, ex-CEO with NBTel, about the province’s next 100 years.
This first session will end with a training seminar offered by Simplicity Design on performance excellence.
An upcoming provincial tour will then allow the young leaders to discover or rediscover New Brunswick’s various communities and realities.
Last July, the 21inc. organization announced its leaders for the 21Leaders program; a program which is now being offered in each of the Maritime Provinces.
